BoardFlight

Make a game for Board

Make it in a browser tab with an AI, or in Unity, Godot or web code with Board’s own SDK. Either way, BoardFlight is how it gets onto other people’s Boards.

For creators. All guides

In a browser tab, with an AI

Press New game in the dashboard, choose Web game, then Create and start building. A playground opens in the tab with Board’s own starter project running in its preview, and an assistant beside it that writes the game as you describe it. It opens your game at the Board’s screen size (1920×1080, touch) and looks at it before it says it is done. Nothing is installed on your computer.

The assistant signs in with your own ChatGPT account. The project is saved before every turn, and Publish turns it into a build you can install on a Board. More about the playground

In Unity, Godot or your own web code

Board publishes SDKs for Unity, Godot and the web, with a simulator for Unity, in its developer documentation. Its developer FAQ says the SDKs are free and that a Board from a shop is all the hardware you need.

From there, BoardFlight takes the build. In Unity, the BoardFlight plugin adds Window ▸ BoardFlight ▸ Publish, which builds and uploads in one press. A web app packed to a .webapp.zip, a Godot export or a build from CI goes up with the command line, boardflight upload. Publish a build, step by step

On your own Board

With BoardFlight on your computer and your Board paired, every build you publish reaches your Board by itself, because automatic updates are on unless you turn them off. Publish and see it on your own Board

To find a build that will not install before anybody else does, run boardflight runner on a machine with a Board on its network. It installs and launches each new build and reports back, with Board’s own message when a Board refuses one.

On other people’s Boards

Channels decide who gets which build: every game starts with internal for your team and public for the library, and you can add more, such as beta. Add a tester by the email they signed up with, or send a redeem link that shows them the game, signs them up and ends on Install. Nobody needs a cable or a command line. How your testers install

Hearing back

On a channel’s Feedback and Activity tabs, switch on the feedback button and analytics. A player presses the button in your game, picks bug or feature request, types a sentence and can add a screenshot, and it arrives in your game’s Feedback section. The channel’s Activity shows installs, sessions and how long people play.

In the library

When it is ready for everybody, fill in your game’s library page (a tagline, a description, a genre, an icon and a screenshot) and submit it. BoardFlight reviews a game once. After that it is on the shelves at boardflight.app, where anybody can browse it and any signed-in account can install it.

From an AI agent in your editor

BoardFlight has an MCP server. Connect Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or VS Code to it and the agent can see your games, their builds and what your testers said, and publish a build if its token allows it. Connect your AI agent

What it costs

Nothing. BoardFlight has no card, seat count or per-build fee, and nothing to pay to put a game in the library.
