Install a game without the app
A game from the library goes onto your Board through the Board’s own page, the one your Board serves on your home network. You download the game here and hand the file to that page. This is the way with nothing installed on your computer. With BoardFlight for your computer, installing is one press.
Holding a redeem code? Start there instead. It adds the game to your account first, and ends on the same Install.
Open a game and press Install
Find a game in the library, open its page and press Install.
Installing asks you to sign in. Looking around does not.
Download the game file
The install panel gives you the game as one file. Save it where you will find it again, and leave it as it is: do not open it or unzip it.
Open your Board’s page
Your Board serves a page of its own on your home network. The install panel asks for your Board’s address and opens that page for you. Your computer or phone has to be on the same network as the Board.
- In Chrome and Edge on a computer, the Board’s page appears inside ours once you allow the browser’s local-network prompt.
- In other browsers, and on a phone, the Board’s page opens in a new tab.
The first time, the Board’s page asks for a six-digit pairing code. Board’s documentation puts the code on the Board under SettingsSystemPair a computerShow pairing code, and says that screen lists the Board’s address too.
If the page asks for a code again on a later visit, it is in the same place.
Give the Board’s page the file
Drop the file you downloaded onto the Board’s page. Where that page opened in a new tab, choose the file with its Install app button instead.
A web page cannot see your Board, so installing this way does not tell you whether it worked, and nothing installed this way is updated for you. BoardFlight for your computer does both. Get BoardFlight
