Two captains face off across the Board, each with a hidden fleet of six hand-painted wooden ships. A physical divider down the middle keeps the secrets. Sink every enemy ship before the enemy sinks yours. PIRATES AGAINST VIKINGS Player 1 leads the Pirate Fleet through the turquoise waters of the Emerald Archipelago: sandy islands, palm trees and wooden docks. Player 2 leads the Viking Fleet through the Northern Passage, a cold sea of snowy rocks, pine trees and drifting mist. Both oceans are painted in a soft watercolor style, seen from directly above. HIDE YOUR FLEET Each captain arranges six ships on their own 10 × 10 grid: a Flagship, Heavy Warship, War Vessel, Raider, Patrol Vessel and Scout. Use your ship piece to pick up a ship, slide it across the water and turn it to rotate it. Squares glow teal when a ship fits and red when it doesn't. When your fleet is ready, lock it in. Once it's locked, there's no turning back. AIM, FIRE, WATCH IT LAND On your turn your screen switches to your rival's ocean, empty of ships. Rest your targeting piece on a square and your cannon swings round to aim. Slide the piece onto the glowing red button to fire. Both captains watch the same shot from their own side. The attacker sees the cannonball fly from their cannon. The defender sees it burst out from under the divider and head for their ships. Three seconds later it lands on both screens at the same moment, with one blast and one impact. DAMAGE YOU CAN SEE A miss leaves a white ring on your map. A hit leaves a red X. On the defender's side, every hit stays on the ship: holes punched through the deck, the hull sinking lower, smoke and flames when one square is left. When the last square goes, the ship tips over and sinks, leaving planks, barrels and the odd surprise floating where it was. HOW TO PLAY • 2 players, one at each short end of the Board • Each player uses two Board bases: one moves your ships, the other aims and fires your cannon • Take turns firing one shot at a time; a hit does not earn an extra shot • The first captain to sink all six enemy ships wins Every battle ends with a victory celebration and a choice: play again with the same captains, or back to the harbor.
