Skylight is a gentle puzzle game you play together, with your hands, on the table. Your robots are lanterns and your wedges are standing stones. Slide a lantern across the glass and every shadow in the room swings with it, softly and in real time. Glims, little creatures of light, can only walk where it is bright. Nocts, their shy friends from the shadows, can only walk in the dark. Move the light, shape the shadows, and open a path for each of them to get home. What playing it is like • Everyone plays at once, from any side of the table. There is nothing to read, and nothing faces one way. • Nobody loses. A creature caught in the wrong light just curls up and scurries back to safety, so you can try anything. • You learn by watching. When a new idea arrives, a ghostly hand shows what a piece does, then hands the room over to you. • Lifting a piece matters. Slide a lantern and its light follows your hand; lift it, and the light stays where it was until you set it down again. What's inside • 30 hand-made rooms in five chapters: First Light, The Dark Side, Standing Stones, Shapes and Clockwork. • Shadow keys that open when you cast exactly the right shape, light and dark plates that swing gates open, rising stones, and clockwork blocks you can stop in their tracks with a piece. • Fireflies to find along the way, and a starry map that lights up as you go. • Painted art and a calm, dreamy soundtrack. Played with the Board Arcade pieces: each room uses up to two robots and two wedges. Lovely for a parent and child side by side, a family around the table, or a quiet puzzle on your own.
