A Greek-myth deck-building roguelike where you place the gods themselves on your cards.

If you love Slay the Spire.
Kronos, the Devourer, has risen on Mount Othrys. You are the Chosen, and three gods sail with you. Godbound is a deck-building roguelike you play with your hands and your Pieces. Each turn, lay up to three cards in your casting slots to build a chain. Then set a god's Piece on the Board: on a card to bless it, or between two cards to join them. The lightning bolt drives Zeus's fire into a strike, the Athenian coin raises Athena's Aegis, and Kerberos seeps Hades' venom into a blade or doubles the poison of the cards he joins. The enemy always shows its next move, and icons on each card show exactly what it will do before you commit, so every turn is a puzzle you can read, not a gamble. Set out from the Port of Knossos across a map that changes every run. Fight harpies, Arachne's brood and Spartan shades; risk elite battles against Medusa and the Cyclops for relics; trade at the Agora, rest at Hestia's hearth and seek the oracle at Delphi. Every victory offers new cards to shape your deck. Between runs, earn Favor to call more Olympians to your side: Poseidon with his trident, Dionysus with his wine cup and Demeter with her horn of plenty, each with two aspects that change what they bless. Choose three gods before you sail, and raise their rank as you climb. • Six gods, one for each Piece in the Thrasos set • Chain up to three cards a turn, and bind a god to a card or to the link between two • Twelve aspects, three ranks each • Over twenty cards and relics like the Ring of Prometheus and Charon's Obol • A new route every run, ending in a two-phase battle against Kronos • Solo, about forty minutes a run
